The Analects of Advertising

The Analects of Advertising is an e-book and a collection of posters that you can download from this page and print out for your own use and inspiration.
I wrote them at the same time as I wrote Live Local, Think Global, a freely downloadable e-book available on my e-Books page. The Analects – a cheeky reference to Confucius – are essentially random thoughts about Advertising, Marketing, Art, Writing, the Web and Life in general.
As I was uploading them into this page, I scanned a few and they’re still valid, for the most part, though there is a little repetition here and there between posters on related things.
For those interested in typefaces, the fonts I used for The Analects are from Eric Gill’s excellent type design work for the Golden Cockerel Press, written-about in detail at ITC.
